Video director Dale "Rage" Resteghini (SHADOWS FALL, FEAR FACTORY, THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN) has just completed work on his latest project — the clip for ALTER BRIDGE's new single, "Rise Today". The song is featured on the band's upcoming second album, "Blackbird", which arrives in stores on October 9.
Commented Resteghini: "I feel is going to be one of my biggest rock videos ever. The song is amazing and the way we shot it, on anamorphic and spherical lenses on 16MM using all kinds of film stocks including reversal film, true black-and-white as well as cross processing some of the neg allowed me to really get creative with this video.
"ALTER BRIDGE, for those of you who do not know, is made up of the three original members of CREED, the supergroup that sold millions upon millions of albums through the late '90s and early parts of the 2000s. They now have an even more talented frontman in Myles [Kennedy] whose vocal range is astounding. Their lead single of their new album on Universal has got the goods to be a massive radio smash as it's already climbing the charts.
"We shot this video in Orlando in a raw rehearsal space and created an extremely ominous and hopeful vibe... and their manager, Steve, who is one of the great ones from the glory days of rock and roll was speechless as to how well things went and said that he's never had a video experience that went so well, as did the band!!!"

La Theme song ufficiale di Unforgiven, prossimo PPV della WWE, sarà "Rise Today" degli Alter Bridge, lo stesso gruppo che ha creato la canzone di ingresso di Edge.

ALTER BRIDGE SIGNS WITH UNIVERSAL REPUBLIC
New Album and Tour Planned For This Fall
July 9, 2007 - New York, NY – The members of Alter Bridge are pleased to announce they have signed an agreement to release their next album on Universal Republic Records. This brand new album is scheduled to be released this fall.
"We're very excited about beginning this chapter in our lives and career," commented Grammy Award winning songwriter and guitarist Mark Tremonti. "Universal Republic is a perfect home for us and we're excited that our fans are going to get to hear all the new songs we've been working on for quite some time really soon. The material we've been working on is really aggressive and I think it's the best work we've ever done. We can't wait to get back in front of our loyal fans later this year."
"We're thrilled to be partnering up with Alter Bridge," stated Monte Lipman, President of Universal Republic Records. "They're an incredible band with a strong vision that we share together. When Tom (Mackay, SVP A&R) and I met with the group, we knew instantly this is the type of talented people we'd want to be in business with."
Alter Bridge's Universal Republic debut will be the follow up to their debut album, the Gold-certified album One Day Remains, which debuted at #5 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums Chart in its first week of release. The album featured three consecutive hits on rock radio: ("Open Your Eyes," "Find The Real," and "Broken Wings"). Comprised of Mark Tremonti, Scott Phillips, Brian Marshall and Myles Kennedy, three of the four members of Alter Bridge made up the 30+ million selling band Creed.
The recording of the new album was completed in Nashville, TN last month with famed producer Michael "Elvis" Baskette (Incubus, Chevelle, Three Days Grace). The band has also brought on a new management team with Paul Geary & Steve Wood for Azoff Music Management taking the reigns.
Alter Bridge has kept a conspicuously low profile in the United States since a brief tour in October of 2005. The band toured Europe during the summer and fall of 2005 and the summer of 2006 performing at mostly festival shows with the likes of Metallica, Tool, Guns N' Roses, Alice In Chains, Audioslave, Velvet Revolver, and Black Sabbath.
The band will be hitting the road upon the release of their 2nd album this fall. Touring details and more information on the new album will be released at a later date. |

Uscirà il 30 Luglio il nuovo singolo degli Alter Bridge. Si tratta di una canzone intitolata "Rise Today" e a quanto pare uscirà per Universal Republic, che sarà la nuova etichetta per la quale la band ha firmato.
